wg21.link

Short, memorable links to C++ standards committee (WG21) papers, issues and drafts.

Community resource

Summary

wg21.link is a redirect service maintained by Mara Bos. It is not one of my projects, but it is an indispensable resource for anyone following the evolution of C++, so it deserves a place in this showcase.

Purpose

WG21 papers live at long URLs on open-std.org. wg21.link gives every paper and issue a short, stable address — perfect for talks, blog posts, code comments and chat. For example, wg21.link/p2300 takes you straight to the std::execution paper.

How to use it

  • wg21.link/pXXXX — latest revision of a P-paper
  • wg21.link/pXXXXrN — a specific revision
  • wg21.link/nXXXX — N-papers
  • wg21.link/cwgXXX, lwgXXX — core and library issues
  • wg21.link/std — the current working draft
  • wg21.link/index.json / index.yaml — the full index as data

Background

Data is aggregated from open-std.org, the committee’s repositories and the committee wiki. Questions about the service go to its maintainer, Mara Bos.
